ESL Kurd has partnered with and now implements Google Translate which is a free tool developed by Google that can translate text, voice, conversations, camera photos and screenshots. Users are able to translate texts between English and Kurdish (Sorani & Kurmanji) as well as voice and photo translation from English to Kurdish (Sorani & Kurmanji)

My name is Soran Ari, and I am the founder and creator of ESL Kurd. I helped develop this app alongside my wife Zainab to give users a chance to learn English or Kurdish visually and interactively. I graduated from Mohawk College in 2018 with a Health, Wellness, and Fitness diploma. I love exercising as well as volunteering for recreational programs for youth. I’ve worked for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and helped our children and youth discover fun ways to get active, practice healthy habits, and learn the importance of heart health. I also have two bachelor’s Degrees from Queen’s University in both English Language and literature, as well as Liberal Arts. I like to inspire others to succeed and always chase their dreams with a positive attitude!
